What ages can participate?

Age is a factor, but we also need we to consider size and strength. Anyone interested in getting started will need to have enough upper body strength to handle the gun safely and effectively. Small guns are better for young shots, and we recommend a 28 bore cut down to size as a ‘starter gun’ for Clay shooting for young shots. We have one at the school  for those wanting to take their first steps into the sport. Another option is the 410 as its very light – however it’s quite limited in use and very testing to shoot consistently.

We recommend that 12 years is a good time to start in the sport, Hand eye co-ordination is often at its best in the earlier years, so it’s a great time to get the basic skills in place.

We have special pricing for young shots. Gift vouchers can be a great present for that tricky to buy for youngster in your life too!
